The commission has released an official notification for the recruitment of Lower Division Clerk (LDC), Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA), and Data Entry Operator (DEO) positions in various government departments across India. Applications for these posts were accepted through the official portal from April 8 to May 7, 2024.
To select the most qualified candidates, the commission will conduct a written examination, skill test, document verification, and medical examination. With the Tier 1 exam date announced, candidates are now eagerly awaiting the release of the SSC CHSL Admit Cards. The commission will issue the admit cards online at ssc.nic.in.
SSC CHSL Selection Process
To be selected for various positions under the SSC CHSL Examination, candidates must go through the following selection phases:
Tier I Written Exam: The commission will conduct a computer-based test to determine candidates eligible for the subsequent phase.
Tier II Written Exam: Qualified candidates will be invited to participate in Tier II, a descriptive examination administered in both Hindi and English.
Tier III Skill Test/Typing Test: A skill test or typing test will be conducted for certain posts in the recruitment drive.
Document Verification: Candidates who qualify through all preceding phases will be invited for document verification.
Medical Test: After document verification, a medical examination will be conducted to assess the candidates’ mental and physical health.
SSC Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL) Exam Pattern
Mode: The SSC CHSL Tier I Exam will be conducted online as a Computer-Based Test (CBT).
Sections: The examination consists of several sections, with a total of 100 multiple-choice questions.
Total Marks: The exam carries a total of 200 marks.
Duration: The Tier I exam duration is 60 minutes.
Negative Marking: 0.50 marks will be deducted for each incorrect answer.
